Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Perron Roulette (“we”, “us”) processes personal data through our website and mobile app. We follow the GDPR and applicable Dutch privacy law.
Data we process
- Waitlist: email address, optional first name, platform preference and consent timestamp.
- App use: starting station, travel preferences and technical diagnostics needed to provide and improve the service. Precise location is only processed if you choose to grant location permission.
- Support: the contents of your request and contact details.
- Server security: limited logs such as IP address, request time and user agent, retained temporarily for security and reliability.
Why and legal basis
We process waitlist and product-update data with your consent. We process data needed to deliver requested app functionality or support to perform our agreement with you. Security, abuse prevention and service improvement rely on our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
Rail and third-party services
The app uses travel information associated with NS to suggest routes. Requests may be sent to travel-data providers. Perron Roulette is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NS. App distribution through Google Play or Apple may involve processing under those providers’ own privacy policies.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share only what is necessary with contracted hosting, email, diagnostics and distribution providers. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we use a legally recognised safeguard such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Waitlist data is kept until you withdraw consent, the testing programme ends, or 24 months after your last interaction—whichever comes first. Support correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months. Security logs are normally kept for up to 90 days unless an incident requires longer retention.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Contact privacy@perronroulette.nl. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
The service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data without valid parental consent.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service is completely secure. Material policy changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, communicated to users.
